agricultural heritage.
The Gregory Inn (Formerly Mitchell House) was built c. 1822 for stagecoach
travelers between Elmira, New York and
Williamsport, Pennsylvania (north and
south); and Athens,
Pennsylvania to Wellsboro,
Pennsylvania
(east and west).
If you are interested in old carriages & sleighs our Carriage House will be of great interest to you.
Our Sugar Shack contains early tree
tapping equipment, wooden yokes
and wooden carrying buckets, large vat for
boiling down sap to syrup and various containers.
Added to the site in 2007, was the "Little" Children's Church donated by Mr. Charles Rockwell and family. Many years ago the Children's Church stood in Canton and hosted Sunday services and the unique thing about it all was the Little Church's congregation and pastor. ... were all children.
Also added in 2007, a one-room School House. This was the original Alba school house which was moved piece by piece from its location in Alba to the Bradford County Heritage Association's site. The teacher who last taught at that one-room school house was our beloved friend and volunteer Mrs. Mildred Wright.
