Sliding Window / November 16, 2018 / Guillaume Roussel.
This type of window is just normal for some cleaners but what if you cant hire someone to do it for you? How do you clean it? Cleaning sliding windows is almost the same as cleaning an ordinary window. The only difference is how you remove them and clean it. Here are the steps that can help you. Prepare All the Needed Materials. Having all the materials readily accessible can save time and effort. You wont be wasting any time getting the materials in every part of the house.
Sliding window locks are often called vent locks as they allow the window to be locked slightly open for ventilation. The recommended gap is 100mm but never have more than 150mm. The theory is that if a head can get through a window a person can squeeze through. The venting position is not as secure as when the window is shut and locked. Therefore you should only leave your windows locked open you are at home.
You then use a dry non lint cloth or those absorbable cloth used in cleaning cars to dry your window. Dont forget to also clean the track where the window is and the area around it. Place Your Windows Back. After the cleaning and drying is done you need to put them back together. Put your windows back following a reverse order of how you removed them. You need to make sure that the sliding windows are reinstalled securely and there will be no chances of them being accidentally removed.
To install the track you need a secure surface to mount it too. Make sure your blinds came with all the parts you will need like bracket screw mountings for wood installation. Some paper windows come with a swivel bracket so they can be opened horizontally and pivoted open. You need a minimum distance between the swivel and the walls to allow the doors to open. The number of tracks roughly equates to how solid the window covering will be.
